Left Coast Care
Therapy for people in Washington state

Meet Rachel Cruz
a licensed clinical social worker who believes healing happens in relationships, with ourselves, our communities and our stories
You don’t have to have it all figured out. We’ll sort through it together.
More About Me
I want therapy to feel like a soft landing, a space where you can be honest, uncertain, angry, curious, or quiet, and know that you’re still welcome.
I believe everyone deserves a place where they don’t have to explain themselves over and over. You get to bring your full self here, even the parts you’re still getting to know.
I’ve worked with people facing systems that weren’t built for them — and I hold deep respect for how people survive, adapt, and resist. I approach this work with humility, care, and a sense of collaboration.

My Approach
I believe therapy works best when it’s a partnership. I don’t see myself as the expert on your life
I show up with warmth, curiosity, and tools that might help, but you’re in the driver’s seat.
My approach is relational, identity-affirming, and grounded in both individual and collective healing. I pay attention to your body, your culture, your relationships, and how you make meaning. I’m especially interested in supporting folks who are unpacking internalized messages and reclaiming their own voice.
My Experience
Before becoming a therapist, I worked in community mental health and nonprofit spaces, supporting people navigating trauma, housing instability, and cultural disconnection.
I’ve worked with teens, adults, and families — especially those with marginalized identities. My experience includes supporting clients through anxiety, depression, racial and cultural identity exploration, and the long-term impacts of trauma.
Whether you’re trying therapy for the first time or coming back to it with new clarity, I’ll meet you where you are.
Trauma
You’ve been through more than most people know.
Maybe it’s something recent, or something that’s shaped you for a long time.
You don’t have to retell your whole story for healing to begin — we’ll move at your pace, with care.
My Specialties
Depression
Some days, it’s hard to care about anything.
You might feel stuck, numb, or like nothing really matters. You’re not broken — and you don’t have to carry this alone.
Anxiety
Your brain is always going. You’re tired of worrying about everything.
Whether it’s social anxiety, constant second-guessing, or that tight feeling in your chest — therapy can help you get a little more breathing room.

I work with women, non-binary folks, and those who are gender-queer
Individuals aged 15+
I may be able to see younger adolescents on a case-by-case basis. Please get in touch to speak about this option if you’re interested.
